This is something for which I have pined over the last three years since having my first XS. I hope I can make it tomorrow night. And on tap!

· XS Morimoto Imperial Pilsner

This sounds like the coolest beer event to come to birmingham since MCBF.

Morimoto, like Double Dead Guy is not an XS, but we have it regardless! It is 7.1% I think.

We don't have Double Dead Guy yet. Just the Morimoto. Avoid CONFUSION!

Any idea about when that will be available? As soon as the ABC label guy gets done sipping on pina coladas?

I really enjoyed the Morimoto when I had it last. I've still got my ceramic bottle, too.

$3 Durango, Great Divide, and Tommyknocker

Postby Jerry on Sat Jun 06, 2009 8:43 pm

Tonight at The J. Clyde. Special didn't start until 8pm to give everyone from MCBF time to finish up. Otherwise, I think supplies would already be low!

List of beers (16 in total) includes:
Great Divide Yeti
Tommyknocker Imperial Nut Brown Ale
Hercules Double IPA
Tommyknocker Butt Head

and 12 others (surprise I can do the math right now).

Thanks to all for a wonderful brewfest. What a great time and I can't wait for next year's!

Prost!

After they got done sweeping my glass off the floor and drying off the guy it spilled on, my tommy knocker was tasty! It was ridiculously busy for sure but i enjoyed it. Had a Tommy Knocker maple nut brown after the imperial nut brown I ordered was lost :), then a Yeti and Hercules. The Great Divide/Tommy Knocker/Durango reps are awesome guys. It was fun getting to sit down and chat with them for a bit!

Yeah, those reps were great, as were my Great Divide Hades and Yeti. The Yeti was quite nice with my burger. The only downside was how slow everything was. We really hadn't meant to spend an extra 3 1/2 - 4 hours in Birmingham before driving back to Huntsville, just a quick bite and beer (or two). At least we had great company and great beer.
Free the hops! Just free the little old hops!

Unibroue @ The J. Clyde

Postby Jerry on Thu Jun 18, 2009 9:43 am

Will be bringing in all the new Unibroue beers this afternoon 17June. I will confirm the selections after I receive them, but for now, I think that we'll have:

Maudite (on draught)
Trois Pistoles
La Fin Du Monde
Don De Dieu
Éphémère (Apple)

You don't have to speak French to drink them, but you must like Canadians!

Prost!

HG Sierra Nevada @ The J. Clyde

Postby Jerry on Thu Jun 18, 2009 9:50 am

Also wanted to remind folks that we are the ONLY place in Birmingham where you can see Bigfoot!

We have it on draught.

Also, will be receiving this http://www.sierranevada.com/beers/harvest_southern.html today. Hopefully we can receive it in time to cool it down to draught temperature and serve it tonight. :|

Cheers!

Jerry,

It has been in Huntsville for over a week. I think it was tapped on June 9th.

Sorry.
