Firehouse Ministries serves more chronically homeless men than any other agency in the state of Alabama. Founded over 33 years ago, we operate the broadest, most comprehensive continuum of services for Birmingham’s homeless. Meals, street outreach, employment readiness workshops, literacy skills, Bible studies, legal assistance, life skills training, and a clothing closet are offered to thousands of our city’s most desperate citizens. Firehouse provides housing for homeless men with 215 beds at 11 sites throughout the city of Birmingham.

The mission of Shoes & Brews is not only to raise funds for the shelter, but to add to our collection of shoes in our clothing closet. Both spectators and participants are invited to bring a pair of shoes (new or used) to donate in exchange for a raffle ticket. We have some great prizes to give away!
