Learn to identify the signs that someone may be at risk for drug-facilitated sexual assault and become empowered to intervene.
We’ve partnered with the Crisis Center of Birmingham and Megan Montgomery Domestic Violence Prevention Fund to empower bar staff to become the first line of defense when it comes to sexual assault.
The Bar Outreach Project is all about empowering FOH staff to recognize the signs of Drug Facilitated Sexual Assault (DFSA) and equip them with the tools to intervene. This FREE program consists of an hour and a half of training that will teach staff how to recognize when someone is being targeted for DFSA and strategies on how to respond when individuals might be in dangerous situations. Common scenarios will be offered, and participants will be able to problem-solve in real-time.
To be certified by the Crisis Center as a partner of the Bar Outreach Project, at least 70% of the staff working at the establishment must be trained. Upon completion, the establishment will receive a certification, window decal, and magnets to display at your business.
Please remember to RSVP via Eventbrite as lunch will be provided immediately following the presentation. We look forward to seeing you!
